Sorry for the lack of posting lately!

Apr 5th at 12PM / tagged: Mod post. Vacation. / 0 notes

I’ve been on vacation, visiting family and visiting schools and haven’t had the time or internet connection to post. I’ll resume posting normally tomorrow and try to get some lined up in the queue for if I have to go away for a week again!

MakeupGeek has done a tutorial on Dianna’s look at the Grammy’s! She did a blog post on all the products she used here.

Foundation and Concealer: For this look, I would use Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation or for a cheaper alternative, L’Oreal True Match Foundation. To conceal dark circles or blemishes, I recommend Kat Von D’s Tattoo Concealer or MAC Studio Finish Concealer.
Cheeks: Use a bronzer on the cheekbones to highlight naturally. I like The Body Shop’s Brush-On Beads. Then add a pop of pink right on the apples of the cheeks with Tarte’s Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Amused.
Lips: I can’t emphasize enough how much I love L’Oreal’s Infallible Lip Color in Beyonce. Top it with LipFusion Infatuation in Screen Siren for Santana’s super plump lips.
Eyeshadow: Apply mark. Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Glitterati to the inner third of the eyelid. Apply BH Cosmetics Cool Matte 19 to the rest of the eyelid and under the eye. . Then, blend mark. Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Corset to the outer corner of the eye and into the crease. Also blend it into the outer third of the lower lashline.
Eyeliner: Apply MAC Blacktrack Fluidline with a bent eyeliner brush to the upper lashline. Then, use a black pencil liner like MAC’s Smoulder to line the inner rims of the eyes.
Mascara: Apply Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash Mascara for super thick lashes. For extra drama, apply false lashes like Sephora Collection’s Showstopper lashes.

Foundation and Concealer: You can see this post for my recommendations for foundation and concealer.
Cheeks: Apply a dark, dusty pink colored blush to the cheeks using a light hand. Sephora Collections Blush Me! in Abricot Plaisir 6 or Revlon Blush in Smoky Rose could achieve this look.
Lips: Use a light pinky-nude like MAC’s Angel or Covergirl Lip Perfection in Kiss.
Eyeshadow: Always start with a base to make colors pop and to prevent creasing. My favorite is Urban Decay Primer Potion. To start off, apply a light green shadow like Ulta’s Sage to the inner third of the eye. Then, apply a medium green color like Sugarpill Midori or the green in L’Oreal HIP Perky Duo to the entire lid. Next, apply e.l.f. Eyeshadow in Sage with a fluffy brush into the crease and on the lower lashline. Then, with a more pointed blending brush apply Urban Decay Pigment in Protest into the outer v and to define the crease. Finally, apply NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Milk to the inner corner and blend it a little with your finger. Apply e.l.f.’s Eye Transformer (the green shade) over the jumbo pencil and as a brow highlight.
Eyeliner: For eyeliner, create a thick line with Wet n’ Wild’s Mega Liner in black. Then, line the inner rims of the eyes with MAC Smoulder Eye Kohl.
Mascara: For big, thick lashes use Benefit’s BADgal Lash or Lancome Hypnose Drama. For extra oomph, apply false lashes like these.

Foundation and Concealer: You can look at my Dianna Agron look to see my recommendations.
Cheeks: For her bright pink cheeks, I would recommend either NARS Orgasm blush or mark. blush in good glowing.
Lips: My all-time favorite lipstick for both pigmentation and staying power is L’Oreal’s Infallible Lip Color in Beyonce’s Red.
Eyeshadow: Apply a bronze shade like Ulta’s Golden Olive all over the lid and for a little of definition apply a darker bronze like e.l.f. Custom Eyes Eyeshadow in Mocha.
Eyeliner: For an easy, thick line, apply black gel eyeliner with a bent eyeliner brush with a little flick at the end. A good trick for the flick is to line up the bottom of the flick with your lower lashline and extend that line upwards. Some good gel liners are Physician’s Formula black from their shimmer strips collection, and Clinique’s Brush-On Cream Liner.
Mascara: For long, luscious lashes, use Maybelline Lash Stiletto Voluptuous mascara. Jenna also looks like she is wearing outer corner false lashes, like these from Ardell.

Dianna Agron looked fabulous at Elton John’s Oscar viewing party this year…and I decided to recreate her look! I’m going to try to offer high-end and drugstore products to achieve the same effect and you all can choose what you like and what fits your budget.
Foundation and Concealer: Dianna always has flawless skin, so for foundation I would recommend using a little heavier coverage (depending on your skin type, use however much coverage you need!). For this look, I would use Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation or for a cheaper alternative, L’Oreal True Match Foundation. To conceal dark circles or blemishes, I recommend Kat Von D’s Tattoo Concealer or MAC Studio Finish Concealer.
Cheeks: For Dianna’s cheeks, I would apply a little bit of The Body Shop’s Brush on Beads for bronzer (be sure to use a light hand when applying). Then, for cheeks I would use Sunbasque blush from MAC or e.l.f. Studio Blush in Peachy Keen.
Lips: For Dianna’s lips, I would use a bit of Tarte LipSurgence Natural Matte Lip Tint in Hope or Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain in Forbidden.
Eyeshadow: To me, this look just SCREAMS for Urban Decay’s Naked Palette (you can also buy the shadows separately). I would apply Half Baked all across the eye with Smog in the crease and a tiny bit of Darkhorse in the outer v. Apply the shadows in the same order under the eye, with Smog on the outer half and Half baked on the inner half. I would then use Sin for a highlight shade and in the inner corners of the eyes.
Eyeliner: I would use a soft kohl liner, like MAC’s Smolder or Covergirl Perfect Point Plus in Black Onyx and smudge it out with a little bit more of Darkhorse.
Mascara: Dianna’s favorite mascara is DiorShow, but you could also use Covergirl Lash Blast to get the same effect.

This is a great tutorial by xsparkage on how to get Quinn’s cheerleading look. She actually did a Glee series on how to get Rachel’s, Tina’s and Mercedes’ looks as well as a Kurt video on skin care so check those out!

Quinn wears very light, natural makeup, playing up her eyes and cheeks. You don’t have to go and purchase these exact products to get Quinn’s look! They are mostly suggestions so if you want to save some money but still recreate Quinn’s look, hunt around at the drugstore for products that are similar products to what Quinn wears.
Foundation and Concealer: Koh Gen Do Moisture Foundation (This is the exact foundation Glee’s makeup artist uses on Dianna). For those of us who don’t want to spend $55.00 on foundation, try Covergirl Natureluxe Silk Foundation or Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation (this comes in two different formulas for different skin types - Combo/Oily and Normal/Dry). As far as concealer, Glee’s makeup artist uses AmazingConcealer by Amazing Cosmetics.
Cheeks: Quinn almost always has a light pink color on her cheeks. Try Stila’s Convertible Color in the shade Gerbera or Camelia. For a cheaper alternative try one of the Maybelline’s Dream Mousse Blushes.
Lips: Quinn almost always matches her lips to her cheeks, so dab a bit of the convertible color onto your lips.
Eyeshadow: First get a light, creamy matte shadow and place it from your lid all the way up to your brow bone. Then take a medium-toned brown and place it in your crease and outer corner. Make sure to blend! Almost every makeup brand will have colours like these so here are a few options.
NYX Cosmetics Nude On Nude Natural Look Kit 9 Eyeshadows 2 Lip Colors with Mirror and Applicator - $9.00 .
Coastal Scenes Warm Palette - $24.95. You get 88 neutral eyeshadows which is perfect for Quinn’s look. (Online only)
Maybelline Expert Wear Quad in Natural Smokes, Mocha Motion, Chai Latte or Designer Chocolates - $5.95. You can find these quads at your drugstore.
Eyeliner: Quinn has worn pencil, liquid and gel liner throughout the show, so it’s all about the technique as opposed to which kind of liner you use. Use whichever black or brown eyeliner you have and line your eye close to the lash line. You can make a small wing if you choose to. Here are some recommendations for different eyeliners types that you might want to try out:
Pencil: Rimmel’s soft kohl eyeliner in jet black
Gel:  Maybelline’s Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in blackest black
Liquid: L’oreal Lineur Intense in carbon black.
Mascara: Try CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Blasting Mascara.
Lashes: Quinn always wears false lashes on the outer corner of her eye. To get this look, you can take a full strip of lashes and cut them so you only have the outer half or you could buy the special outer corner lashes. You could also get a pack of individual lashes and glue a few of them on each eye. This is an essential part of Quinn’s look but it’s not something that you have to do if you don’t feel comfortable with false lashes.
